I am no young “whipper-snapper”. I am nearing the seventy year old mark.
In the past, I have noticed individuals not yet to that age that either could not or would not learn to deal with some “new fangled” gadget. Such remarks as , ” I’ll never learn how to make that work”, ” I can’t remember how to do that”, and other such negative sayings, were always an amazement to me.
Early on I developed a habit to learn something new each day. Some things I learn are very trivial. Some might be mentioned once in a year, but the thoughts, ideas, etc that I learn keep the memory processes, the learning habit continuing.
A couple of weeks ago, I would not have thought I would be writing in my own WEBLOG (BLOG TO SOME). Now, because my brother expressed an interest in BLOGS, I have started two of my own (one for testing new ideas, formats, etc and this one).
I learn something new about my blogs, about the internet, about computer programming and even electronics. My learning is not restricted to just these topics. I have dabbled in nuclear theory, medical subjects, photography… If I have a question about a subject, I start to search on it at the first opportunity.
Keep the brain power working.. Learn something new each day.
